Mind in Motion - Group Running Sessions
A group running experience designed for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Led by Tomas, founder of Talens Health Support Services and an Ironman Triathlon participant, he has a passion for the benefits of physical exercise in managing and coping with mental health conditions. Physical exercise has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental health, including reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress. Exercise can increase the production of endorphins, which are the body's natural feel-good chemicals and it can also improve mood by reducing levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Regular exercise has been linked to improved sleep, increased self-esteem and better cognitive functioning. This Talens Health Support Services group run is specifically aimed at individuals with some experience in running, but if you are a beginner or prefer walking, we also offer a group walking event that you may be interested in. Regardless of your fitness level, we encourage you to join us in this opportunity to prioritise your physical and mental health. The running course is a short distance of under 4 km and Tomas will lead the group twice around the course. It is your choice whether you join in for one lap, or complete both.
