Mind in Motion - Group Walking Sessions

A group walking experience designed for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Service Description

Led by Tomas, founder of Talens Health Support Services and an Ironman triathlon participant, he has a passion for the benefits of physical exercise in managing and coping with mental health conditions. Physical exercise has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental health, including reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Exercise can increase the production of endorphins, which are the body's natural feel-good chemicals and it can also improve mood by reducing levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Regular exercise has been linked to improved sleep, increased self-esteem and better cognitive functioning. This Talens Health Support Services Group Walk is specifically aimed at individuals with little to no experience in physical activity, if you prefer running, we also offer a group running event that you may be interested in. Regardless of your fitness level, we encourage you to join us in this opportunity to prioritise your physical and mental health. Come join us for a fun and uplifting experience!
